A day in the life of a full-time RV family
You learn something new every day, or so they say. Today's lesson came with a side of anchovies.
All kidding aside, I'm not kidding.
When we sold our house, our realtor, Pat Kinney, gave us a thank you gift card to the Dock Cafe in Stillwater, Minnesota. So, we took our cousin Alicen out to lunch today and she ordered a Cesar Salad. Most of you probably already know this but it's news to me. Cesar Salad dressing, no joke... it has been my favorite kind of salad since I was a kid, is made with anchovies. Yup, and not just anchovies. It's actually anchovy PASTE!!! excuse me... I just threw up a little.
Oh well.... I'm sure I will still eat it. Besides, today I had the Walleye and I'm pretty sure there are no anchovies in that. Krista had the French Dip so I think I'm OK there too.
After lunch we visited a tree that is rather special to me. A much younger me use to come down to this very spot, almost every day, to hang out by the river, and almost every day I would give this tree a hug. Below you can see me giving this tree one last hug good bye.
Paityn decided the tree's name was Gary and ya know, I kinda like it.
Other than playing around the river and having lunch at the Dock, we did actually get some work done today too.
Yesterday I mentioned that we are now taking customers for different types of media processing. So, we take your old vacation videos and photos, ignore the ones that just don't belong, and make a color corrected, fully edited, music embedded, watchable movie or slide show out of it. Well, we have finally gotten all of the pieces together so we can do it all from almost anywhere. Now we just need to start getting some customers.
We have another week here at my buddies house, then we are off to the Chengwatana State Forest in Eastern Minnesota for our first boondocking experience. Hopefully that will give us the time we need to get that all sorted out.
As always, thanks for reading and we will talk to you all tomorrow.
